What Does the New Moon Represent

The new moon represents new beginnings – a phase that is a more reflective period and symbolizes fresh starts as we plant the seeds for the future. This is an excellent time to establish clear intentions for the upcoming month, define your objectives, launch new initiatives, and reflect on your growth since the previous new moon. 

The Capricorn new moon is similar to the beginning of a brand new personal year – a time to set your intentions for the new year. Capricorn's determination provides the patience, discipline, and persistence to succeed. The new moon is a time of recharging, resetting, and planning for the month ahead. Capricorn energy is very pragmatic and encourages the implementation of practical goals. The new moon in Capricorn brings motivational vibrations. Our lives can begin to feel lighter, more joyful, and effortlessly in flow. 

Capricorn is the tenth astrological sign out of twelve zodiac signs originating from the Capricornus constellation, the horned goat. It is also the last Earth sign symbolized by the sea goat. Capricorn's birthstone is garnet, which represents creativity and commitment.

Capricorn is the oldest and wisest of the earth's elements. There is a sense of immediacy and urgency underlying everything they do. They are ambitious and ready to get things done. Saturn is the ruling planet for Capricorn; therefore, Capricorn is all about authenticity and honesty. They also tend to be a sign that is very aware of what is timeless and what is just passing through. 

 Organize your space

Taking time to organize and create a better environment for the body can better impact the mind in the long run. Decluttering the mind and creating a healthy space can help you feel in control and proud of what you have accomplished. 

Release Limiting Beliefs

Think about the next phase or step you are ready to reach and reflect on why you have not yet accomplished that particular goal. Write down all thoughts that come up and circle any thoughts and beliefs that may feel limiting, fearful, doubtful, or negative. Notice and recognize how these beliefs make you feel and how they impact your life. Then, give yourself permission to release those beliefs and thoughts that do not serve you. 

Self Care

The most important thing to recognize is yourself. Taking breaks and getting treatments for yourself (such as massage, facial, coaching, etc.) will allow the body to feel loved which will positively impact the mind. Even if you care for yourself in the most minimal way – from a simple skincare routine to healthy eating – it will encourage healthy energy and allow the body to feel a sense of relaxation.
