Notice of Termination Rights and Client Responsibilities under California Law
Saffron & Sage is a licensed healthcare facility and professional medical corporation operating in compliance with California Business & Professions Code §§ 2052–2054, California Corporations Code § 13400 et seq., and the Knox-Keene Health Care Service Plan Act. As such:
Your service agreement does not imply or constitute entitlement to services outside of clinical and ethical appropriateness.
Care may be refused, suspended, or terminated based on conduct that places practitioners, staff, or other clients at risk or violates the clinical scope of care.
Saffron & Sage reserves the legal right to cancel any service agreement without refund if conduct violates our Client Agreement, Code of Conduct, or applicable state or federal regulations.
Per California Civil Code § 1671(d), our late fees, service forfeitures, and refund policies are considered lawful and reasonable liquidated damages for breach of contract and are enforceable.
California consumer protections (Civil Code § 1770 et seq.) prohibit deceptive practices—but also allow businesses to enforce no-refund policies when clearly disclosed. Clients are legally bound to this agreement once acknowledged and signed.
Chargebacks initiated outside of fraud are a breach of contract under Civil Code § 3300 and will be pursued through civil recovery channels including third-party collection agencies, legal counsel, and permanent termination of service agreement.
Clients are solely responsible for maintaining an updated payment method on file. Declined payments result in immediate suspension of services. A late fee of 5% per day will be assessed after 48 hours of non-payment, until the balance is paid in full.
Once terminated for policy violation, clients and any associated individuals on their account will lose all access to the space, services, and future eligibility.
3.2 Contact with Practitioners and Staff Members. To protect the professional boundaries, privacy, and employment integrity of our team, Saffron & Sage strictly prohibits any personal or professional contact between Clients and its Practitioners or Staff Members outside of services rendered through Saffron & Sage or outside of the locations at which such services are officially provided.
As part of their employment and/or contractor agreements, all Practitioners and Staff Members are bound by internal policies that restrict communication and engagement with Clients to the professional context of their work with Saffron & Sage. This includes all communication, interaction, and engagement across digital platforms, including but not limited to personal email, text, social media, or other communication channels not sanctioned by Saffron & Sage.
The following are strictly prohibited and are considered material breaches of your Service Agreement:
Attempting to contact Practitioners or Staff Members via personal phone, social media, personal email, or in-person outside of scheduled services.
Soliciting Practitioners or Staff Members for services outside of Saffron & Sage, whether paid or unpaid.
Offering employment, business opportunities, or partnership to Practitioners or Staff Members outside of the Saffron & Sage structure.
Requesting or encouraging Practitioners or Staff Members to violate their contractual obligations or circumvent Saffron & Sage’s care model.
If a Practitioner or Staff Member declines contact, sets a boundary, or limits communication outside of their official role, they are doing so in accordance with their contractual obligations and employment policies. Any disrespect, retaliation, or attempt to override those boundaries will result in immediate termination of your membership without refund, and permanent revocation of access to services and care.
Saffron & Sage reserves the right to pursue legal remedies against any Client who engages in employee interference, solicitation, or contract inducement in violation of California Labor Code §2860 and §2863, and relevant provisions under California Business & Professions Code §2052 (if involving medical staff under a medical corporation) or §17200 (unfair business practices).
SECTION 4
APPOINTMENT POLICIES
The Client understands that the following policies govern services:
4.1 Cancellation, No-Show & Rescheduling Policy. To support the highest standard of care and clinical scheduling integrity, Saffron & Sage requires a minimum of 48 hours notice for appointment cancellations or rescheduling.
You must call (619) 933-2340, text (646) 762-0592 to make changes to your appointment. Appointment changes cannot be made via the app or email.
If you cancel or reschedule less than 48 hours before your appointment, you will forfeit the associated service credit(s) or appointment(s).
A late cancellation or no-show fee of $50 per hour(s) of scheduled services or appointment(s) will be charged to the card on file.
Same-day bookings are considered confirmed and are not eligible for cancellation or rescheduling. Same-day cancellations result in forfeiture of the service(s) and credit(s) and the corresponding late cancellation fee will be charged.
4.2 No-Show Policy. Failure to show up for a scheduled appointment without proper notice will result in:
Forfeiture of the full value of the scheduled service(s) and credit(s).
A $50 no-show fee per scheduled hour for each hour(s) of scheduled appointment(s).
These fees are non-refundable and non-negotiable.
4.3 Tardiness Policy. You are required to arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment(s) to ensure proper check-in, clinical intake, and a full service experience.
If you arrive late, your session will be shortened accordingly, and will still end at the originally scheduled time.
No discounts, service extensions, or refunds will be offered for tardiness.
Arrivals more than 20 minutes late will result in a forced cancellation. You will forfeit the appointment and be charged the applicable late cancellation fee(s) and full service credit(s).
4.4 Refund Policy. All medical services, therapies, and treatments are subject to the following:
No refunds will be issued for services cancelled within the required 48-hour window or for missed appointments.
All product purchases are final. Due to health and safety standards, no exchanges or refunds will be granted for any clinical products, including supplements, herbal formulas, injectables, topicals, or medical devices.
Service credits (including accrued or gifted credits) cannot be exchanged, swapped, or transferred due to California compliance guidelines.
4.5 Attendance and Sickness Policy. Members are responsible for attending appointments and sessions in good health. You must be free of any symptoms related to cold, flu, COVID-19, or other contagious illnesses upon arrival. Please take your temperature before coming in.
If you exhibit any symptoms of illness, entry will be denied, and any associated credits or fees for the appointment will be forfeited. Face masks or coverings are required on premises to protect the health and safety of all clients, members, and staff.
No refunds, rescheduling, or credit extensions will be provided for missed appointments due to non-compliance with this policy.
4.6 Contact & Enforcement. These policies are strictly enforced in order to protect clinical integrity and ensure equitable access to care for all patients.
If you experience technical difficulties or have questions regarding your appointment, billing, or account, please contact us at service@saffronsageliving.com or call us at (619) 933-2340.
By scheduling services through Saffron & Sage, you agree to these cancellation, tardiness, no-show, and refund policies in full.

A 3% late fee may be applied in addition to the 5% daily late fee initiated at the 48-hour mark.
If the balance remains unpaid after 30 calendar days, your account will be considered delinquent, and:
The full remaining balance of the annual or monthly contract term will become immediately due.
A $150 administrative recovery fee will be assessed.
Non-Payment and Legal Remedies:
In accordance with California law, Saffron & Sage does not report medical-related debt to credit agencies or refer such debt to third-party collections agencies. However, failure to pay for services rendered, products purchased, or fees owed under this agreement may result in legal action.
The Client acknowledges and agrees that in the event of non-payment, Saffron & Sage reserves the right to pursue recovery through civil litigation, including but not limited to filing a claim in small claims or superior court. The Client agrees to be liable for all reasonable costs associated with such legal action, including court filing fees, service of process fees, and attorneys' fees (where applicable and permitted by law).

Virtual Plans:
Virtual service offerings may be purchased independently of in-person services. These offerings are also single-use purchases and expire 12 months from the date of purchase.
