Astrology:

Observing the lunar cycle is a relatively reliable aspect of life. Paying attention to the Moon creates an opportunity to observe the rhythms of nature and its relationship to the human body including mental and emotional states. The Full Moon in Aquarius on July 26-27th picks up where the eclipse season began during the New Moon earlier this month. This Full Moon is considered a Super Moon given that the orb will appear larger as it is closer to the earth. The effects of the Full Moon will be super charged with the fact that the Earth will be experiencing a total lunar eclipse lasting 103 minutes which is one of the longest lunar eclipses of the 21st century. While each Full Moon can bring awareness to shadow aspects of humanity and usher in change, this particular Super Moon will likely usher in some of the most intense transformations we have undergone in the last 18 years. While change can be scary, rest assured that you can receive support making a positive difference for yourself and others by letting go of that which no longer serves and realizing what needs to be gained in order walk confidently in the direction of your dreams.

Aquarius, an air sign is also known as the Water Bearer. As your shadow self might come out to play in the days leading up to the full moon, consider that solutions to troublesome behavior can be found in allowing negative thoughts and feelings to surface in order to actively forgive, seek forgiveness, or take responsibility for actions. Aquarius is ruled by Uranus and Saturn – planets that resonate with qualities of revolutioninspiration and change

Yin Yoga poses that help calm the nervous system and help prevent reactionary behavior or “acting out” are: mountain pose (Parvatasana); child’s pose (Vajrasana), modified inversion (Viparita Karani) with legs resting on the wall; and lion pose (Simhasana).

Crystals that can help clear negativity, promote healing, and ease a tendency toward addiction: Quartz and Selenite.

Ritual: Burning Sage offers an opportunity to clear space. Properties of Sage Smoke help eliminate harmful bacteria and can literally ‘clear the air’.

Essential Oils: Lavender, Vetiver, Ylang Ylang, Bergamot, Chamomile, Frankincense

Flower Essences: Elm enhances the ability to respond to challenge with wisdom and grace; Cerato helps develop trust, inner wisdom, and the courage to walk confidently in the direction of highest calling.
