New Moon in Gemini

On May 30th, the new moon will enter into the sign of Gemini. This moon will rise at sunrise and set at sunset, leaving the part facing the Earth completely in a shadow. This new moon represents the first lunar phase – the phase in which the Moon and the Sun will share the same ecliptic longitude. A new moon is the direct opposite of a full moon, which explains why the Moon won't be visible to the naked eye due to its degree and position in space.

WHAT DOES A NEW MOON REPRESENT?

A new moon represents a time of new beginnings that allows for a reset of goals, desires, and a beautiful time for new intentions to be put into action. Imagine a symbolic planting of the seeds – a time to expand, gain nourishment for the future, and grow into fruition.

The energy surrounding a new moon is like a tide that brings all of our emotions to the surface and helps instill a heightened sense of awareness of these emotions. Scientists believe that humans have a direct reaction to the Earth’s magnetic field that occurs with the new moon phase.

ATTRIBUTES OF GEMINI

Gemini - Those born under the third zodiac sign of Gemini are known to be quick-witted and highly expressive with their moods, opinions, and desires.

Ruled by the planet of Mercury, they tend to be hard to pin down in one place for long periods of time. They love deeply but tend to have difficulty showing their true inner feelings or emotions.

The element connected to Gemini is air.

WHAT DOES THE NEW MOON IN GEMINI MEAN?

The new moon in Gemini presents an opportunity to improve our communication and ability to listen to others while enjoying their company. Consider making time to intentionally enjoy the simple pleasures of family, friends, and loved ones as this can lead to deeper connections.

People that fall under the sign of Gemini often feel the urge to resist the need for constant change due to their propensity toward boredom. Spending more time in nature can help Geminis feel more grounded in their environment and less prone to heightened “fight or flight” emotions.
